These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website https://www.emmortoneventcenter.com (the “Site”) and any services offered by Emmorton Event Center (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using our Site and/or booking our services, you agree that you have read, understood, and are bound by these Terms.

2. Who May Use the Site

 

You must be at least 18 years of age (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract. You may not use the Site or our services if doing so is prohibited under applicable law.

3. Description of Services

 

Emmorton Event Center operates a full-service event venue and offers quote requests, venue tours, event planning support, and event hosting services. Our Site may permit you to request a quote, schedule a tour, or otherwise inquire about services. Service usage may lead to a separate contract for event hosting or venue rental.

4. Quote Requests, Tours & Booking

 

When you submit a quote request, we will respond within 24-48 hours. If you schedule a tour and subsequently book our venue, the terms of your booking (including date, fee, cancellation, deposits, guest counts, etc.) will be set in a separate agreement. These Terms cover only the initial website/quote interaction; the separate booking agreement will govern the specific event.

5. Payment Terms, Deposits & Cancellation

 

Specific payment terms (deposits, balances, due dates, accepted payment methods) and cancellation policies will be specified in your booking agreement. We reserve the right to change venue pricing or fees, but confirmed bookings will be honored at the rate in your contract.

6. Changes, Termination or Suspension

 

We may modify or discontinue the Site or any services at any time without prior notice. We reserve the right to suspend or cancel your access to the Site or any service if we determine that you have violated these Terms or applicable law, or if continued access would expose us to legal liability.

7. Intellectual Property & Content

 

All materials on the Site—text, graphics, logos, images, videos, designs, and software—are owned by Emmorton Event Center or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, create derivative works, or exploit any content without our prior written consent.

8. User Content (if applicable)

 

If you upload or provide any content (such as guest lists, photos, designs) to us or through the Site, you represent and warrant that you own or have all necessary rights to grant us permission to use such content in connection with providing services. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display and reproduce your content solely in connection with our services.

9. Warranties, Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

 

We aim to provide a high-quality venue and services. However, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Site and services are provided “as-is” without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied (including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose).
In no event shall Emmorton Event Center, its owners, directors, employees or agents be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, consequential or punitive damages (including lost profits, loss of data, or business interruption) arising out of or related to your use of the Site or services, regardless of the cause of action or whether we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for direct damages shall not exceed the amount paid by you (if any) for the services giving rise to the claim.

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Emmorton Event Center and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising from your use of the Site or services, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Governing Law, Dispute Resolution & Jurisdiction

 

These Terms and any dispute arising under or related to them shall be governed by the laws of the State of Maryland (without regard to its conflict of laws provisions). You agree that any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Maryland, and you consent to the jurisdiction and venue of such courts.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time in our sole discretion. We will post the revised Terms on the Site and update the “Last Updated” date above. Your continued use of the Site and/or services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree with the revised Terms, you must stop using the Site and services.
